    Satiated is the -ed form of : you have had a desire or need filled so far that it is satisfied, often past the comfortable point. After a banquet you sit back satiated. After too much attention you may be satiated with praise and wish for quiet. The sense is the same as for most ; though actually, satiated sounds even more like book-English, and it clearly points back to the verb . People use it for food, sex, and any appetite that can be stuffed. It does not mean you are happy in a light way — it means the wanting has been filled, maybe over-filled.
