In writing, s/he is a short way to say she or he when the person might be male or female, or when you mean any person. You see it in older textbooks, forms, and careful office English: 'If a student is late, s/he must sign in.' People almost never say it out loud as one sound; they read it as 'she or he'. Though actually, a lot of writers have moved on. Singular they ('If a student is late, they must sign in') is now the usual choice in many schools and workplaces, because it is shorter and does not pick a gender. s/he still turns up when someone wants to be careful on paper but does not like they for one person. It is a writing trick, not a word you use in speech.
「s/he」是書寫用的縮寫，指「她或他」，用在不確定對方性別，或泛指任何人的時候。你會在較舊的教科書、表格和正式的辦公英文裡看到它，例如「If a student is late, s/he must sign in.」。唸出來時幾乎不會唸成一個音，而是當成 she or he 來念。
