A roll-on is a small bottle of liquid you rub under your arms so that sweat does not smell unpleasant. The top has a little ball; as you roll it on your skin, the ball turns and spreads a thin layer. It is one kind of underarm product, next to a spray and a stick. The word is everyday and a bit old-fashioned in advertising, but the bottle is still everywhere. You can also hear roll-on as an adjective (roll-on ). Though actually, in shipping, roll-on/roll-off means a ferry that cars drive onto — same shape of phrase, totally different thing — but the bottle is the meaning people meet first in a bathroom.
「roll-on」指一小瓶液體，擦在腋下，讓汗味不那麼明顯。瓶口有一顆小滾珠，滾過皮膚時就會把薄薄一層液體推開。它是腋下產品的一種，另外還有噴霧和體香膏條。這個字很日常，廣告裡稍微有點老派，但這種瓶子到處都還看得到。
它也可以當形容詞，放在名詞前面，例如 「roll-on deodorant」（滾珠體香劑）。航運用語裡的滾裝船，是車子能直接開上、開下的渡輪，和這個完全不同。不過在浴室裡，大家最先想到的通常還是這個瓶子。
