1. 1

Roadkill is an animal that a car, truck, or has hit and killed on the road. People mostly use it as a mass word — “there was roadkill on the highway” — not “a roadkill”, though you will hear “a piece of roadkill”. It is a blunt everyday word, a bit grim, not a scientist’s word. Some people also use it, half as a joke, for meat from an animal found that way, or to say they feel completely : “I feel like roadkill.” The serious meaning is always the animal on the road.

    路殺(被車撞死在路上的動物;台灣很常用這個詞)
