1. 1

Roach is a short, informal word for 'cockroach' — the unpleasant insect that people find in dirty or old buildings. This is by far the most common everyday use. In American slang, 'roach' can also mean the small leftover butt-end of a marijuana cigarette, once it has been smoked almost to the end — this use appears often in movies and song lyrics about drug culture.
