Riyadh is the capital city of Saudi Arabia. It is a large modern city in the desert, inland — not on the sea. The Saudi government sits there, and news about Saudi , oil, or big companies often names it. English borrowed the name from Arabic, where it first meant 'the meadows'; we still say Riyadh, we do not translate it. Put the weight on the second part: ree-YADH.
利雅德(沙烏地阿拉伯首都;中國大陸寫作「利雅得」)
組成Borrowed from Arabic ar-riyāḍ, 'the meadows,' from rawḍ, 'meadow.'
