Replication means making an exact copy of something, or repeating something so it produces the same result. In science, "DNA replication" is how a cell copies its own DNA before it divides. In research, "replication" means running an experiment again to check you get the same results — an important idea in science, because if other scientists cannot replicate a result, people start to doubt it.
