Renault is a French car company, and also the name people use for the cars it makes. The cars are sold in many countries. Well-known models include the Clio (a small car) and the Megane. In English the name is said with a French sound, roughly “ren-OH,” not “ren-olt.” In Taiwan the name people know is 雷諾. The company took its name from a French family name, Renault — an old personal name, not a word that means anything about cars by itself.
