If something is renascent, it is coming back: becoming popular, strong, or important again after it had . You might read about a renascent art scene or a renascent interest in old crafts. It is a rather describing word; most people would just say “coming back” or “having a revival.” It is not the same as the name Renaissance, though they share the idea of being born again. You will almost never hear this in easy, everyday talk.
