Reinforcement is extra help or extra material sent to make something stronger. In a fight or war, reinforcements are extra soldiers or supplies sent to help. In building, reinforcement can be steel bars put inside concrete to make it stronger. In psychology and teaching, reinforcement is a reward or response that encourages someone to keep doing a behavior.
