Recurrently means again and again, in a pattern of coming back. If a machine recurrently overheats, the overheating is not a one-off surprise. The word is rather stiff. Most people would say again and again, repeatedly, or it keeps happening. You will meet it in formal writing and medical notes more than in conversation. It describes how the thing returns, not how strongly.
