    When a meeting stops for a while and then starts again, we say it reconvenes. A court can reconvene after lunch. A group can reconvene next month to finish the same work. You can also reconvene a meeting — that means you call everyone back to the table. It is an official word. Friends would not say “let’s reconvene for ”; they would say “let’s meet again.” You hear it in news about courts, government, and big work talks. The break can be twenty minutes or six months. The idea is the same people (or the same body) coming back to the same business, not a brand-new gathering.
