Razzmatazz is noisy, flashy activity meant to grab people's attention: lights, music, big smiles, a launch party that feels like a show. You hear it in informal talk, and you will also see the spelling razzamatazz. It can sound — what a night! — or a little tired of the show, as in all that razzmatazz, meaning a lot of noise and sparkle with not much underneath. Though actually, both feelings sit inside the same word; the speaker's tone tells you which one they mean.
