To razz someone is to make jokes that poke at them so they feel a bit . Friends razz each other about a new haircut; a crowd might razz a player who missed the ball. It is informal, and you hear it more in American English than in British. It can be warm teasing, or it can sting. Though actually, from the outside it is not always easy to tell play from , so the voice and the face matter as much as the words. People also talk about giving someone the razz, same idea.
