1. 1

Rawhide is animal skin, usually from a cow, that has been cleaned and dried but not turned into soft tanned leather. It stays stiff and tough. People have used it for whips, ropes, saddles, and — these days — treats for dogs. Cowboy films love a rawhide whip. Though actually, ‘in its natural state’ does not mean the hair is still on and nothing has been done; the hide is worked a little, just not tanned into the soft leather of a jacket or a bag. There is also a verb, to rawhide, meaning to beat with a rawhide whip, but the thing meet is the material.

    生皮、未鞣皮革(狗咬的那種常叫牛皮骨)
