A rampage is a period of wild, violent, out-of-control behavior, usually involving damage or destruction — 'the bull went on a rampage through the market'. It's most often used with 'go on': 'go on a rampage'. It can describe an angry animal, an angry crowd, or even a person in a video game destroying everything in their path (which is where a lot of younger people meet the word today, in gaming, without any real violence attached). As a verb, 'to rampage' just means to behave this way — 'the fans rampaged through the streets after the loss'.
