Proselytizing is the -ing form of that same frowned-upon persuading. It can name the activity ('I am tired of the proselytizing') or describe something ('proselytizing emails,' 'a proselytizing tone'). The feeling stays the same: someone is pushing a faith or a cause onto other people, and the speaker wishes they would stop. It is not a warm, proud word for sharing what you believe.
