Prestwick is a town on the southwest coast of Scotland, by the sea in Ayrshire. English meet the name because of Prestwick Airport, which has long taken international flights, and because of golf: Prestwick Golf Club is old and famous, and the Open Championship was played there in the early years. It is a place name, so it always takes a capital P. Though actually, for most people outside Scotland the town is the airport; they may never see the high street. Say it PREST-wick.
普雷斯特維克(蘇格蘭西南部城鎮,以機場和高爾夫聞名)
組成This probably comes from an old place-name: wick is a common British ending for a settlement, and the first part is often linked to “priest,” but I am not certain of that first part.
