Powys is a county in the middle of Wales, in the United Kingdom. It is a place name, so it takes a capital P. A lot of it is hills, small towns, and countryside rather than one famous city — though actually that is part of the point: it covers a very large piece of land, and people who live there often talk about distance, farms, and market towns more than nightlife.
