Porcelain is a hard, smooth, white type of ceramic material, used to make fine cups, plates, and decorative objects — you might hear 'fine china' used almost the same way. It usually feels expensive, delicate, and a little bit special, so people also use 'porcelain' as an adjective for skin that is very smooth and pale, like 'porcelain skin'.
