Poolside means by a swimming pool: the chairs, the bar, the towels, the people sitting there in the sun. You can say poolside chairs (like an adjective) or sitting poolside (like an adverb). It is holiday and hotel talk — wet feet, drinks, heat. It is not about the table game called pool. Though actually, stretch it: “poolside living” for a flat that looks onto a pool, even if nobody is sitting on the edge. Ordinary, a little glossy.
