A polypill is one tablet that holds several different medicines together, meant for an older person to take every day. The usual hope is to lower the chance of heart attack and stroke by putting things like a blood-pressure medicine, a cholesterol medicine, and a little aspirin in a single pill, so you do not have to remember a row of bottles. Doctors and newspapers use the word; it is an idea and a research name more than a brand you will see on every pharmacy shelf. Though actually, putting more than one drug in one pill is an old trick — people keep polypill for this daily heart-and-stroke prevention pack, not for any random combination tablet, and not for vitamins.
