The Poconos are a group of mountains in eastern Pennsylvania, in the United States. They belong to the much larger Appalachian range. Americans, especially people from New York City and New Jersey, often go there to get out of the city for a short holiday — a cabin, a lake, a weekend in the woods. For a long time the area was famous for honeymoons, with big resort hotels.
