- 1
A rude British adjective: looking, sounding, or feeling common, cheap, or lower-class. People use it about taste as much as about money — a plebby accent, plebby food, a plebby night out. It often comes with a laugh, which does not make it kind. Like pleb, it is strongly UK and strongly about class. You would not use it in careful writing unless you were showing someone being snobbish.
俗氣的;沒格調的(英式貶義)
組成pleb (the insult) + -y (gives an adjective: 'having that quality').
