In informal American English, a playa is a man who is good at meeting women and getting them to sleep with him, and who often keeps more than one woman interested at once. It is the word player said the way some speakers say it when they drop the r at the end: play-uh. You hear it in songs, on social media, and in joking talk; it is not polite or formal. It can sound or , depending on who is talking. Though actually, there is another word spelled the same way that means a dry flat place that used to be a lake, from Spanish for beach. That is a different word. This one is the man.
組成From a non-rhotic pronunciation of player — saying player without the r, so it comes out playa. A different word playa is borrowed from Spanish playa (beach) and is a doublet of plage; that is not this sense.
