1. 1

A piggery is a place where pigs are kept — a pig farm, or the buildings and yards on a farm that belong to the pigs. It is a place-word, like bakery for bread. You hear it more in British English; Americans more often say pig farm, pigpen, or pigsty. It is a farm word, not a rude word in this sense, though pigsty is the one people stretch to mean a very dirty room. Piggery itself mostly stays on the farm.
