Picked people are not just people who happened to be chosen. They were chosen with care, because they fit a particular job especially well. You meet it in phrases like a picked team or picked troops: the best ones, not a random crowd. It feels a little old and a little formal, the kind of word you find in reports or older stories. Today many people would say hand-picked instead, which is the same idea in a warmer, more common coat. Though actually, picked still also means fruit taken from the plant — that is a different, everyday use. This sense is the human one: specially selected because they are right for the work.
picked 用來形容人時，是指經過仔細挑選、特別適合某項工作的人。常見的說法有「a picked team」和「picked troops」，指最好的那一批，而不是隨便湊的一群人。它的語感偏老派、正式，現在多數人會改說 hand-picked，意思一樣，但更自然、也更親切。
