Relating to how a living body works and functions — the physical, biological side of a person or animal, as opposed to their mind or feelings (which is 'psychological'). Doctors and scientists use this word a lot: 'physiological effects' are effects on the body itself, like your heart rate going up, not effects on your thoughts or emotions.
