Peugeot is a French make of car, and also of bicycles and other vehicles, from the company of the same name. When people say “a Peugeot,” they almost always mean a car of that brand. It is a family name that became a company name, the way Ford did; the word itself does not describe the car’s size or speed. You will see it on the badge (a lion), in ads, and in used-car lists. In English the name is said in a roughly French way, not as it looks on the page. It is just a proper name: capital P, and you do not put “the” before it unless you mean the company (“Peugeot announced…” / “the Peugeot company…”).
