Pederasty is the name of the act or the practice: a man having sex with a boy. Though actually, the short sense you may see makes it sound like a person. That person is a . Pederasty is what he does, or the custom. Today it is a hard, formal, accusing word. It belongs in law, news, and history, not in casual talk. In modern life it names sexual abuse of a boy by a man, which is a crime. In books about ancient Greece, writers also use pederasty for a known social pattern then (an older man and a youth). That older use is why the word exists in English at all. It is not a reason to treat the word as normal or kind now.
