1. 1

A peashooter is a small tube — cheap plastic, a reed, or a bit of wood — that a child puts to their mouth and blows through, so a dried pea (or a paper ball, or some other tiny thing) flies out the other end. It is a toy, not a real weapon. You aim at a tin, a wall, or, though actually teachers hate this bit, at another child. Adults sometimes stretch the word: they call a weak or very small gun a peashooter, meaning it cannot do much. The object feels a little old-fashioned now, but the name is still famous because of the game Plants vs. Zombies, where a little plant shoots peas; that plant was named after this toy. Informal.

    豌豆槍(兒童玩具)。遊戲《植物大戰殭屍》裡的「豌豆射手」也是這個詞。
