1. 1

Describes a person, a marriage, a kiss, or a piece of writing with no strong feeling of love in it. Not angry, not on fire, not in love. It usually sounds as if something is missing, not as if someone is calmly professional in a good way. Though actually it is a little literary: in speech people more often say “there’s no passion” or “he doesn’t feel anything”. It is not the grammar word passive, and it is not “shy and quiet”.
