A Parisian is a person from Paris, the capital of France. You can also use it to describe things from that city: Parisian streets, Parisian fashion, a Parisian café. It can mean simply from that city, but people also stretch it to mean a certain style — elegant, a bit proud, very much of Paris. Though actually, people who live in Paris sometimes smile at the word, because in magazines Parisian often means a dream version of the city, not the everyday one. It is a normal, slightly dressy word.

組成From Middle English Parisien / perisien, from Middle French parisien, from Medieval Latin parisiānus. By the pieces you can see: Paris + -ian (a person from that place). The adjective has the same history.
