Paraguay is a country in the middle of South America. It has no sea coast — you cannot sail from Paraguay straight into the ocean — and it sits between Brazil and Argentina, with Bolivia toward the north-west. The capital is Asunción. Farming is the work the country is best known for. Older reference books give a population of about 6.6 million from 2014; though actually those numbers move, so treat a figure in a dictionary as a snapshot, not today's count. In English the name is usually said like PA-ruh-gwy. Students sometimes mix it up with Uruguay, which is a different, smaller neighbour that does have a coast.
