Palsy is an old word for a health problem where a person cannot control or move part of their body properly, often with shaking or weakness. You mostly hear it today in medical names, like 'cerebral palsy' (a condition from birth affecting movement) or 'Bell's palsy' (sudden weakness in one side of the face). On its own, outside these medical names, it now sounds old-fashioned.

    麻痺、癱瘓(現在多出現在醫學名稱中,如腦性麻痺)
