A pallet is a flat wooden or plastic platform used to stack and move goods, especially in warehouses and on trucks - a forklift lifts a pallet full of boxes. A pallet can also mean a simple, thin, hard bed or mattress, especially in old stories or poor living conditions - 'he slept on a pallet on the floor.'
