Oversexed describes a person as having much more interest in sex, or much more desire for it, than the speaker thinks is usual. It is not a doctor's word. It is a judging word, often from older books, films, and gossip: this person wants sex too much. People also use it half as a joke. Though actually, it often says more about the speaker's comfort than about the other person — one reader calls a character oversexed; another just sees someone who likes romance. You will not hear it much in careful, kind conversation now; people are more likely to talk about a high sex drive, which does the same job with less sting. Handle it as a word you may read, not a label to stick on a .
