Overactive means too active, in a way that causes trouble rather than helping. An overactive imagination can keep a child (or an adult) scared of things that are not there; an overactive mind at night will not let you sleep; a part of the body can be overactive too, as when a works harder than it should. In clinics you will meet set names such as overactive bladder. “Active” by itself can be healthy and welcome. Overactive is a warning: the activity has gone past a useful point and is making something worse.
過度活躍(overactive bladder 台灣診所說「膀胱過動症」)
