Though actually, even Americans argue a little about the exact sound, but they will hear you if you keep that ending short.

組成From earlier Ouragon. This is likely from Spanish orejón (“big ears”), perhaps describing the banks of the Columbia River, but that is not certain. Other stories tie it to a Native American word, or to French ouragan (“hurricane”). The true start of the name is still uncertain.
