Off-site means it happens away from the usual place, most often away from the office or the factory. An off-site meeting is a meeting in a hotel or another building. Off-site storage keeps boxes somewhere that is not your shop. It is workplace English — managers, computer teams, and school staff use it. Though actually, it does not have to be far: a café around the corner still counts as off-site if it is not “here.” It is not the same as overseas, and not the same as offside in football. The pair is on-site: on the grounds, in the building.
