    NV is the two-letter written code for Nevada, a state in the western United States. You see it on , forms, maps, and car plates. People almost never say “NV” out loud when they mean the state; they say “Nevada.” You write it. Las Vegas is in NV, but NV is the whole state, not only that city. Though actually, NV can mean other things in science or business — here, in addresses and American place labels, it is only Nevada.
