    A nomad is a person whose people do not stay in one town all year. They move from place to place, usually with their animals, looking for grass and water. Think of groups who travel with sheep, goats, or camels across wide land. The word is also used more loosely now: a “digital nomad” works on a computer and lives in a new city every few months — not herding animals, but still not tied to one home. Though actually, some people call anyone who moves a lot a nomad, which stretches the older meaning.
