Nokia is a company from Finland. For years it was the name on the phone in your pocket, especially those small, tough phones that seemed to last forever. People still joke that an old Nokia could be dropped, sat on, or thrown, and it would still work. Though actually, the company today is less about the handset you hold and more about the big systems that make mobile networks run. In Taiwan the name still mainly calls up those phones, even when the business itself has moved on.
