Nitro is a short, informal word people use for a few different things, so you have to guess which one from context. In racing (cars or video games), 'nitro' is a boost of extra speed - drivers press a button and their car suddenly goes much faster. In chemistry, it's short for nitrogen, or for nitroglycerin, a powerful explosive liquid. And on coffee menus, 'nitro cold brew' is cold coffee that has had nitrogen gas pushed into it, which makes it smooth and a little creamy, almost like a drink from a tap.
