    The NBA is the American group that runs the top paid basketball games in the United States. The letters stand for National Basketball Association. It is not one team. It is the whole league: many teams, a long season, then the playoffs and the Finals. In Taiwan almost everyone just says NBA; they do not turn it into Chinese when they talk. You write it in capital letters because it is a name. Though actually, women’s paid basketball in the US has its own league, and university games belong to a different group. If you mean the famous US league you see on TV at night, you mean the NBA.
