A naturist is a person who follows : someone who enjoys not wearing clothes because they believe it is natural and healthy. You can also use naturist before a noun: a naturist beach, a naturist camp. In British and European English, naturist is the usual polite word; means something very close but can sound blunter. People who live this way often want to be clear that it is not about sex — it is about the body as a normal, natural thing. It is a specific word; you will not hear it every day unless you are talking about holidays, beaches, or this way of life.
