Narnia is not a real country. It is the magic land in C. S. Lewis's children's books, starting with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Four children step through a wardrobe full of coats and come out into snow, talking animals, a witch who makes it always winter, and a great lion. Later books go back to the same land at other times. Children in English-speaking countries grow up with the name, and many Taiwanese readers know it from the films and from the books. People sometimes say "like Narnia" when a hidden door leads to a strange, story-like place. Though actually, Lewis took the name from Narnia, the old Latin name for a real town in Italy called Narni; he liked the sound. You always write it with a capital N, because it is a place-name, even if the place is made up.
