    If you feel muzzy, your head is not clear. You cannot think in a straight line. This often happens when you are ill, very sleepy, or have had too much to drink; sometimes it is the morning after, or the heavy hour after medicine or a long cry. It is informal, and you hear it more in British English than in American English. Americans might say groggy, , or fuzzy instead. Muzzy is about the mind, not about a picture being out of focus — though a muzzy memory is one you cannot quite see. Though actually, it is a soft word. It does not you for drinking or for staying up; it just names the cloud in your head.
