    In the study of language, morphology is the part of grammar that looks at how words are built — how small pieces like 'un-', 'happy', and '-ness' combine to make 'unhappiness'. In biology, morphology means something different: the shape and structure of a living thing's body — the size and form of its parts, not how it behaves. Both meanings share the same idea underneath: the study of form, of how something is put together or shaped.
