Moneyed means rich — having money, often quite a lot of it, and often as a class of people rather than one lucky win. Writers like the moneyed classes, a moneyed family, moneyed interests: it paints a group that already has wealth, the kind that sits in nice houses and has a say. It is a little old-fashioned and formal; in speech most people just say rich or wealthy. Though actually, it does not always mean “famous rich.” It can be quietly well-off. It describes the state of having money, not the act of earning it (that is closer to money-making). You would not usually say “I feel moneyed today” the way you might say “I feel rich today”; it sits more naturally on families, neighbourhoods, and social groups.
